Student Visa Data Analysis Report: Full Calendar Year 2025
The Department of Home Affairs (‘DHA’) has released the visa data for December 2025 meaning we can now analyse the full calendar year in terms of student visa application outcomes.
The in-depth analysis covers visa application, grant, and grant-rate volumes, trends and traits for each sector, key source countries, locations and age ranges of applicants, and more.
The report offers English Australia members a range of insights into the current state of the sector and the impact of the federal government’s interventions on visa application outcomes.
The report reveals the impacts of the many government interventions into international education. This includes showing the segments of the market which have grown over the last two years. It also includes making plain the severe impact of the student visa application charge on the independent ELICOS sector and providing an estimate of the number of Australian’s who have lost jobs as a result.
