Happy Year of the Snake!
I assume everyone is well and truly back from summer holidays and settled back in. The English Australia team has been busily working away since the start of January and we’ve got big plans for the year.
As you all know, we have an election looming and both major parties with impactful if differing approaches to the international education sector. There is a lot to review from the extensive government changes and interventions in the sector last year, including MD111.
There is a lot happening in the sector insights and research space this year too. This includes the annual National ELICOS Market Survey. All ELICOS providers around the country will be receiving their invitations to participate as we gather data on student volumes and details for 2024. Remember your college MUST participate to get a copy of the report!
Closer to home, many of you may have already connected with our new team member, but for those who haven’t, we are thrilled to have been joined by Rachel Winton!
Rachel joins us in the new role of Professional Development and Communications Coordinator. Rachel brings extensive experience as an ELICOS teacher together with experience in design and event management. Please join Sophie and me in welcoming Rachel to the team.
