Recently, the Student Visa data was released by the Department of Home Affairs (‘DHA’). The data covers the period up to June 30th of 2024.
English Australia have created this report to offer pertinent insights into the current state of the sector and the impact of the federal government’s current approach to student visa application processing. This approach must be seen in light of the politicisation of the Net Overseas Migration metric in the lead-up to the coming federal election.
Note that as the Department of Education have not updated the data on commencements and enrolments since April, we have decided to report on the visa data alone.
