State PD Fests

To celebrate getting back to face-to-face events this year, we are hosting state PD Fests around the country. We were delighted to welcome attendees to the NSW, QLD and VIC PD Fests in February and March for incredible days of professional learning and community building.

Congratulations to the teachers who contributed their ideas to the exciting PD Fest programs by presenting at one of the events, helping the PD Fests live up to their reputation of ‘PD by teachers for teachers.’ It was also fantastic to host Cambridge speaker Hayo Reinders who delivered plenary sessions on the important topic of ‘Teacher Leadership for Teacher Wellbeing’ and to address other hot topics like AI and ChatGPT in plenary sessions.

Our sincere thanks also goes to our valued PD Fest sponsors: Allianz Care Australia, Cambridge, ETS TOEFL, IELTS, Pearson, Ready Teacher and The Language People, and to our Bright Ideas partner Pearson.

Action Research in 2023

It was our pleasure to kick off our 2023 Action Research in ELICOS Program with our first workshop on 9-10 March. Congratulations to the talented group of ELICOS teachers who have been selected to take part in this year’s Program. We all learnt a lot from each other during the workshop and we look forward to seeing the research projects evolve throughout the year.

Our special thanks goes to our Action Research in ELICOS partner Cambridge and to Professor Anne Burns, who is the academic lead on the Program.
