Austrade launched the Welcome to Australia Campaign last December to welcome the return of international students. Austrade encourages English Australia members who are CRICOS-registered providers to use this communication toolkit as appropriate. It includes translated subtitles to the videos in 15, 30 and 60 second versions, with downloadable assets from sharefile and via YouTube (or Youku) links in the following languages:
- Simplified Chinese
- Vietnamese
- Spanish
- Portuguese
- Japanese
- Bahasa Indonesia
Concurrent translations have also been implemented at in-language Study Australia landing sites, including links through to a translated summary of all current visa initiatives.
Overall, our current messaging continues to be focused on Australia as a welcoming destination and on outstanding alumni outcomes under our Shine with Australia ‘Discover your brilliant future self’ program of work. In line with this (re)focus, global Study Australia social (FB and Insta) also includes the following messaging: “To all our new and returning international students, welcome to Australia. It’s time to discover your brilliant future self” with the hashtag #WelcomebacktoAus.
Study Australia Partner Hub for agents and providers
Following the launch of a new Partner Hub during the inaugural Austrade Study Australia Global Agent Week in December 2021 which attracted 2800 registrations from education agents in 55 countries, access to the Partner Hub platform is now available for education agents seeking to access information, policy updates and materials in support of their promotional efforts. The Partner Hub is housed on the Study Australia website and accessed via secure log-in. Access is granted to agents with a current student placement agreement to represent an Australian education provider overseas or onshore in Australia. Australian organisations with a responsibility for promoting Australian education internationally, such as education providers, study destinations and government agencies may also register.
The Hub features a range of resources, including a new Study Australia Insights podcast series, with episodes on every state and territory, as well as guidance on culturally sensitive communications, and links to up-to-date information on student arrivals, visas and travel. In March 2022, links to a new Study Australia Marketing Toolkit are incorporated. The Toolkit will provide an online creative asset library that supports a unified brand identity and voice for Australia’s international education sector. It will include new Nation Brand assets and guidelines, as well as dedicated international education images and videos, social media tiles and campaign collateral.
English Australia members, who are CRICOS-registered providers, are encouraged to share the registration link for the Partner Hub with their education agent networks. Austrade welcomes your feedback and suggestions for future Partner Hub content.
