August has been a busy month for English Australia, with a significant focus on teacher recruitment as part of our advocacy efforts, the launch of two new English language teaching courses in online and hybrid delivery. We released our latest research report outlining the partnership opportunities between Australia and Vietnam in English language teaching, and have been finalising preparations for our upcoming annual conference, which is less than two weeks away. CEO Report July
July has been a busy month for English Australia in our efforts to support members. I would like to thank all the members that participated in the Annual ELICOS Market Survey again this year with the report released this week. Visa processing and teacher shortages have been key focuses of our advocacy this month, and the Ed-tech symposium was a highlight of our Professional Development activities with more details provided below.
CEO Report June
The end of the fiscal year is upon us and as usual it has been very busy at English Australia. A highlight of the past month has been the opportunity to meet with many of you face-to-face at the Branch meeting/member forums across the country. The dust is now settling on the transition of the new government. English Australia will be engaging with new Ministers in the coming month to ensure our sector’s value and position are understood. High on the agenda will be visa processing, which we understand has been a real issue for many members.
CEO Report May
There have been many significant announcements over the past month. Federally, we’ve seen a changing of the guard with the Labour government on track to form a majority. English Australia looks forward to working with the new government and relevant Ministers set to be announced shortly. Our achievements of the past year were recognised with the announcement as a PIEoneer Association of the Year finalist, and we were proud to release our latest Guide to Good Practice. We have lots of projects and initiatives for members to engage in and I’m looking forward to seeing many of you at the Branch meeting/ member forums throughout June.
CEO Report April
