The Department of Home Affairs (‘DHA’) has released the visa data for December 2024 meaning we can now analyse the full calendar year in terms of student visa application outcomes.
The in-depth analysis covers visa application, grant, and grant-rate volumes, trends and traits for each sector, key source countries, locations and age ranges of applicants, and more. For the first time, the report also includes analysis of the total temporary visa program. Not only is this insightful as it has become a political issue, it also reveals trends in the visitor and working holiday visa markets that are vital markets for many members.
The report offers members a range of insights into the current state of the sector and the impact of the federal government’s interventions during 2023 and 2024 on student visa application outcomes.
