ELICOS commencements fall 65.8% for March 2021 YTD
The latest market data from the Department of Education, Skills and Employment (DESE) shows a 65.8% decline in student commencements for March 2021 YTD. However, March 2020 was already down 4.9% because Australia closed its borders to China in February 2020 then the rest of the world midway through March. 70 per cent down seems a much more realistic assessment of the current data on pre-Covid numbers.
Aggregate visa grant figure lowest total for YTD March since 2006
