International House Sydney and its campuses in Sydney City, Sydney Bondi, Melbourne, Gold Coast, Darwin, Adelaide and Byron Bay have permanently closed.
English Australia is in communication with the liquidator, the TPS, and colleges who are accepting displaced students, in order to provide support. However, please note English Australia does not provide placement services or refunds.
ELICOS and VET Replacement Courses – All visa types
Greenwich College has stepped in to assist ELICOS and VET students in Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane, Gold Coast, and Adelaide and is offering alternative courses that will match the course of most affected students and that will minimise any delays. Please note: Greenwich does not have a Darwin campus. Affected Darwin students will need to either work with the TPS to find an alternative course or refund.
Greenwich College has agreed to honour all tuition fees already paid to IH. Greenwich College management have also informed English Australia they have established support services to assist students, including support with discounted accommodation options.

Young Learner Replacement Courses
For students enrolled in junior programs, there are two alternative options who have offered to provide an alternative course and honour tuition fees already paid.

Students interested in these options should contact these colleges immediately.
Alternative Course Options
Affected students are also able to choose to transfer to other colleges should they choose. To do this, students can contact the college of their choice directly or with the help of their education agent to find out if their college of choice will also honour tuition fees.
Refunds, Further Alternatives, and Darwin Students
Where a student visa holder does not accept any of these courses they must register with the Tuition Protection Service (TPS) for assistance finding a suitable replacement course or a refund of unspent tuition fees.
Students from the International House Darwin campus who are on a student visa will need to work with the TPS to find an alternative course or refund.
