Congratulations VIC and NSW PD Fests!

VIC PD Fest at ILSC Melbourne

NSW PD Fest Navitas Sydney
Congratulations to the VIC and NSW branches of English Australia that both held successful PD Fests over the past month.
On 17 May, around 130 passionate educators braved the wild Melbourne weather and were welcomed by the amazing team at ILSC Melbourne for English Australia’s VIC PD Fest. We’ve been overwhelmed by the positive feedback about the dynamic and engaging presentations on the day and would like to thank all of the presenters and the Victorian Branch members for contributing to the success of the event. Our congratulations to Saman Ranabahu and Jacky-Lou Maestre, PhD who were recognised for their efforts with the well-deserved Bright Ideas Award.
Navitas English Sydney hosted the vibrant community of English language teachers in NSW for their PD Fest on May 24. The event was more popular than ever with over 130 attendees and a program packed with innovative ideas and inspirational content on AI, energy in the classroom and meaningful connection to name a few. The coveted Bright Ideas Award going to Justin Moon for his informed insights into physical and multi-sensory teaching.
Thank you to our generous sponsors for VIC PD Fest and NSW PD Fest – IELTS, Language Cert, Bookery, Pearson and Cambridge. Thank you also to Pearson for sponsoring Bright Ideas, which supports teachers from PD Fests around Australia to attend and present at the English Australia Conference.

We hope to see you at a PD event soon. Feel free to reach out to Sophie O’Keefe with any questions or suggestions about upcoming PD.
Regards
English Australia
